Career Exploration throughout the Week... and BEYOND

The Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board (TRWIB) presents the 6th annual Imagine! Career Week
April 26th- May 4th. Special thanks to this year's supporter Citizens Bank Foundation!

Beyond the Week

Citizens Bank Foundation

Imagine Career Week is a coordinated series of events that provides our region's youth and families with the resources and tools needed for 21st century careers. The week brings together young people, parents, educators, employers, and youth serving agencies that are focused on career education.

You can participate in the following ways:

1
  YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS:
  • Participate in our Imagine Your Future Essay and Video Contest. Entries will be received from March 1st to April 1st. If you're lacking creativity and need inspirations check out last year's winners. Winners of each division will win a day of job shadowing in the career they choose, as well as a $100 gift card. Attend the Career Fair on Thursday May 3rd at the Omni William Penn
  • Look into a great summer internship opportunity through WorkReady Pittsburgh

2
  EMPLOYERS:
  • Send a representative from your company to exhibit at the Career Fair
  • Host high school youth during WorkReady Pittsburgh
  • Partner with local school districts to tell youth directly what you look for in new employees

3
  EDUCATORS & YOUTH WORKERS:
  • Let us know what you are doing to teach students about their future careers during Imagine Career Week, and we will post it on our site!
  • Check out resources on careers you can reference and share with youth throughout the year
  • Let us know what activities or suggestions you have for next year's Imagine Career Week
